Shopping Depressed

Do you know the sadness of shopping

Centers?  All the things that can be taken

Away in plastic!  These things call

Faintly, but are not deeply sad.  They had

No mothers at a critical age, and have

No feeling for hope.  They want homes, but out

Of prudence.  The shoppers are pushing through

A dark liquid up to their knees.  Their sadness

Deepens, looking at the things.  They hope foolishly

To be taken home by these orphans.
