My Outstanding Psychologist, Dr. James Carpenter. So glad I found him.  During the two years I have been a patient of Dr. James Carpenter, he has helped me to integrate many painful aspects of my life. He has actually saved my life. I will be forever grateful for the gentleness, kindness, understanding and caring he has shown me.

Dr. Carpenter is a highly skilled, compassionate and thoughtful psychologist. He has been essential to my self-examination and self-discovery within therapy. I have always felt safe in his care and commitment to my well-being. He is wise and human in his approach... conveying understanding and acceptance. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who braves the therapy experience. He will not let you down.

I have been Dr. Carpenter’s patient for a few years.  He helped me through a time of grief and supported me as I rebuilt my life.  With his help we identified areas that were holding me back and not allowing me to move forward.  He used talk therapy and often suggested resources and techniques to help me in addition to our meetings.  He is compassionate, practical and knowledgeable in many areas of psychology, and keeps current with what is happening in mental health.  I highly recommend him.

James Carpenter saved my life when I was suicidal. He talked to me gently and carefully until I felt better. I now see him once a week and am very stable because of his gentle talks with me. He is very knowledgeable in all areas of psychology.  I am very grateful to have found such a wonderful psychologist.

Dr. Carpenter has a gracious and thoughtful manner that readily made me feel comfortable in the therapy process. He has a wealth of clinical knowledge that eases the way for processing painful experiences and past and current challenges. I have found him to be compassionate and keen in his observations and his communications.

Dr. Carpenter is very knowledgeable and intelligent. I find him to be caring, sensitive and insightful. He is easily the best therapist for those with a psychology background who can "hit the ground running" in therapy. He says doesn't shy away from difficult topics or statements that need to be spoken out loud. At the same time, he is caring, non-judgmental, and gentle - providing a very safe therapeutic environment.
